Sometimes I am hard on myself. Being so young in this industry and aiming my sights as high as fellow photographers who have crows feet, high talent and great connections I sometimes let intimidation slip his ugly toes in.
But, last weekend I resisted. I let everything clear from my mind and I had a little epiphany. I have reached so many of my goals that I felt even a couple years ago were so unattainable. God has really been teaching me so much about how limitless life should be and along the way he has been allowing so many great things to happen.
"I am living out my dreams!"
His eyes got wild with excitement and loudly whispered back, "That's AWESOME, dear!"
I never want to forget that moment, so here it shall lie in cyberspace.
And, since no photographer's blog post is complete without a photo, here is a photo from last weekend. Sweet Bebe embodies all things adorable.

That is so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. You've been in the industry much longer than I have, and when you told me your age I was shocked. You carry your self so well and your talent speaks for itself. It is also so nice that your husband is there by your side. :)
xoxo
You are so sweet and you deserve ALL of the wonderful things God has in store for you!
ReplyDeleteI need to remember that more often too! :-)
ReplyDelete@cheryl you're so sweet, thanks. I do love having Brent with me. xo!!
ReplyDelete@katy thank you. can't wait to talk with you some more!
@scarlett you are living your dreams! go celebrate with a happy dance in the kitchen with your sweet hubby :)
Loved this post.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, intimidation is most definitely a 'he' with ugly toes that are worse than ours.
As mentioned before, you are wise beyond your years. AND because I am older than you, I can say I'm proud of you... I wasn't too far off, way back when, when I wanted your autograph thinking you'd be famous some day. That was when you were creating jewelry... now look at you!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to call you my friend and don't think I won't brag about where my pretty earrings came from!
Love you~
Ivy
@amanda- you are crazy girl! I have pretty feet :) haha, love you!
ReplyDelete@ivy- thanks for being so sweet to me ivy. I am so excited for your blossoming business. I was just thinking last night to myself that you have an amazing personality to bring to the table (not to mention a great eye for composition and colors), and that is really important in such a customer service business, so I think it is going to be great for you. love you too, ivy! Please let me know if there is any way I can help you.
